Cracking set of plates! I was only after some standard printed plates, but chose the more premium 4D option instead. Fantastic service from these guys, couldn't be happier. The customer service is second to none. My plates (private reg) are currently living on my Suzuki and make it pop like nothing else. It's the first thing you notice when you see the car. Thank you guys!

I was gifted a set of 4D plates (in 5 mm) for my birthday after mentioning them to the wife. I wasn't expecting them, so was pleasantly surprised when I opened them, revealing a gorgeous set of laser cut characters on reflective plates. To say they're eye catching is an understatement, they're amazing, and built to the highest quality. Had them on the car within an hour.Well impressed!!
Ashley Breen ★★★★★
Great service thank you SurePlates. Wasn't sure about them at first but finally bit the bullet and got myself a pair of short plates. No regrets. The ones I got are the thick 5 mm ones. Gloss finish characters. Looks fab on my van. Delivery was quick, well packed. Cheers Ashley.
FAQs
What is the difference between 4D and standard plates? ›
The difference between the two is that 3D plates are made with a gel polyurethane resin. The gel is applied to the characters to make them appear glossy. Whereas, 4D number plates are made of acrylic that is cut and shaped with a laser, giving it the raised appearance that people like it for.
How to make 4D number plates? ›4D number plates are made by applying three-dimensional laser cut acrylic characters onto the plate using industry standard adhesive, which gives them a raised, three-dimensional appearance.
What looks better 3D or 4D plates? ›4D plates are made from acrylic (a premium material to make number plates), but instead of polyurethane resins, acrylic itself is used to elevate the characters on the plate. This process ensures that the characters are thicker, more stylish, and premium-looking than a 3D plate.
What is the difference between 4D and 5D plates? ›5D is a combination of 4D and 3D, where the 4D gives a sharp look while the 3D adds a glossy domed finish on top.
Are 4D number plates any good? ›4D plates are coated in an industrial-strength acrylic which provides a chunky and strong appearance. It is this feature, along with the raised characters, that provides a luxury feel for plates. As well as looking slick, the plates are also more durable than standard designs due to the reinforced materials.
Is 4D more expensive? ›4DX theaters are slightly more expensive than IMAX because of the 4D technology that requires much more planning and programming to incorporate all the 21 effects in the movie.
Can you drill through 4D plates? ›You do not want to drill, or simply screw, through 3D gel or 4D acrylic letters because this is jeopardising the structure of the letter - you could potentially damage the 4D letter and the adhesive of both letter styles could be weakened due to water getting into the hole.
Is 4D more realistic than 3D? ›4D is the newer technology and provides a more detailed and realistic view that many expecting parents prefer. Two-dimensional imaging is also used for these purposes, but considering the 2D vs. 3D benefits, the latter has become more widespread.
What are 4D laser plates? ›These plates use laser cut acrylic letters instead of letters which are simply printed onto the reflective material as seen on most number plates. These add a level of depth which isn't seen on many cars. They look good in all scenarios, especially when the light hits them, and will truly make your car stand out.
Which is better 4D or 5D? ›4D allows you to see a baby moving, yawning, stretching, and smiling in real time. 5D ultrasound adds another layer of realism to your picture of baby by producing a 3-dimensional image with realistic reddish-pink tones. The “flesh tone” can give the feeling of looking at baby right inside the womb.

How do you clean 4D number plates? ›We have found the best way to clean your 4D number plates for a flawless finish is to agitate an all purpose cleaner or some snow foam into the letters with a detailing brush. After this process, lightly rinse them with a hose pipe or a pressure washer at a distance.
What are 4D number plate letters? ›The 4D number plate letters are laser cut from jet black 3mm or 5mm thick acrylic which adds depth to your number plate compared to conventional printed number plates. When the light hits these characters they look so good.
